PRIVACY POLICY

Alimoo is made by Cappsule Sàrl (“we,” “our,” or “us”). It is an app that helps parents introduce solid foods safely, follow allergens and reactions, and keep a journal of meals and milk feeds. This policy covers the Alimoo iPhone app.

Everything you enter in Alimoo is stored on your phone only. We have no copy of it, and the app syncs nothing to the cloud. This includes:

• Your baby's profile: name, birth or due date, gender, premature birth, profile photo and caregiver notes
• Meals: date, meal type, foods, how your baby took them, notes and photo
• Reactions: symptoms, when they appeared, notes and photos
• Milk feeds: breast or bottle, side, content, amount, duration and notes
• Food rules: allergens, food allergies, diet choices and favorite foods
• Settings: app language, reminders (scheduled on your phone) and the feed timer

Like any app's data, it is part of your iPhone's iCloud or computer backup when backups are on. You can edit or delete any meal, feed or reaction, and delete a baby profile when you have more than one. Deleting the app erases all of it from your phone.

Alimoo does not ask you to create an account or give any personal information such as your name, email address or phone number.

Alimoo connects to our server, hosted by Vercel, to download the food catalogue, the guides and the food and guide pages you open, and loads food pictures from Vercel's storage. These requests carry your app language, never anything about you or your baby. Like any website, the host sees your IP address when the app connects.

The meal scan is optional and starts only after you accept a notice in the app. The photo you take is sent to our server, which passes it to OpenAI (through Vercel's AI Gateway) to identify the foods on the plate. Only the photo and your app language are sent — nothing about your baby. Please keep faces out of the photo.

We do not store the photo on our server, and under OpenAI's API terms it is not used to train their models. Your IP address is used in memory to limit the number of scans per day, and is not stored. The check of the foods against your baby's age, allergies and diet happens on your phone. If you then log the meal, the photo is saved with it, on your phone only.

Photos you add to a meal, a reaction or your baby's profile are stored on your phone and are never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties. Alimoo asks for the camera and your photo library only to take or pick these photos, and to save the images you choose to keep, like the Baby Card.

When you share the Baby Card, a food or a guide, it leaves through the iOS share sheet to the app you pick. Alimoo does not see what you send.

Alimoo includes Meta's Facebook SDK so we can measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram: it reports app installs and app opens to Meta. Alimoo does not collect your advertising identifier (IDFA). As disclosed in our App Store privacy details, the following data may be collected by the SDK directly from your device:

• Device ID — used for Third-Party Advertising, App Functionality and Analytics. This data is linked to you and used to track you across apps and websites.
• Crash Data — used for App Functionality. Not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.
• Other diagnostic data — used for Analytics. Not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.

This data is collected and processed by Meta, not by Alimoo. We do not receive your Device ID, and we do not share anything you enter in the app (baby profile, journal, photos) with Meta or any other third party.

Alimoo also includes these SDKs. None of them receives your baby's profile, journal, notes or photos:

• Sentry — crash reports and diagnostics: device model, iOS and app version, and the steps that led to an error (screens and requests to our server), with an anonymous installation ID. Used only to fix bugs. Not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.
• TelemetryDeck — anonymous usage statistics: which tabs and screens are opened, and events such as a meal logged (its meal type and whether a reaction was noted, never which food or symptom) or the outcome of a scan. The device identifier is hashed before it leaves your phone. Not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.
• RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions. Alimoo does not sell a subscription today, but the SDK starts with the app and checks, with an anonymous ID, whether one is active. It never receives your name or email.

Alimoo is designed to help parents with infant feeding and is intended for adults (parents and caregivers). We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The baby information parents enter stays on their phone and is never sent to us; the only exception is a meal photo a parent chooses to scan, which is analyzed and not kept.

As Alimoo evolves, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or changes in data practices. If a future version introduces new data collection (such as accounts or cloud sync), we will update this policy and tell you in the app before any of that data is collected.
